MoveIt, as part of CONNECT International’s network, participated at the Cedefop conference The Skills Nexus Between Productivity and Job Quality: Strengthening Foundations for a Competitive Europe, held in Thessaloniki, Greece, on 29–30 June 2026.
The two-day conference brought together policymakers, researchers, social partners, and experts from across Europe to explore the evolving relationship between skills, productivity, technological innovation, and job quality. Through keynote presentations, panel discussions, and interactive sessions, participants examined how Europe can strengthen its competitiveness while ensuring inclusive labour markets and quality employment.
A central theme throughout the event was the impact of artificial intelligence and rapid technological change on the future of work. Discussions highlighted the growing importance of lifelong learning, vocational education and training, workplace learning, and forward-looking policies that enable workers and organisations to adapt to an increasingly digital and fast-evolving world. Particular attention was also given to Industry 5.0, organisational learning, leadership, and the role of employers and public institutions in supporting skills development across Europe.
Beyond the formal programme, the event also fostered valuable networking opportunities, enabling participants to establish new connections, share experiences, and explore potential collaborations with organisations working on skills, digitalisation, and the responsible adoption of emerging technologies.
