Call for participants – Re(in)novating Symposium “Amplify don’t quantify”

Are you a youth worker, policy maker, researcher, or expert in digital technology eager to shape the future of digital youth work and lift up youth voices and experiences? If so, we invite you to apply for the Symposium “Amplify don’t quantify” of online youth work (October 15-18, 2025), taking place in Strasbourg, France.

About the Project

The Re(in)novating project is a collaborative effort to foster innovation and quality standards in digital youth work. Project partners are: Backslash (Spain), Libero (Serbia), CONNECT International (Belgium), MOVE IT (Greece), CCF France (France) and Mladi Zmaji (Slovenia).

The Symposium “Amplify don’t quantify” of online youth work is a forward-thinking initiative aimed at shaping a more intentional, inclusive, and impactful approach to digital youth work. It seeks to foster critical dialogue on standards, policies, and innovative practices, empowering the youth work sector to embrace digital transformation in a way that is both effective and equitable.

Symposium Structure & Topics

“Amplify, Don’t Quantify” is a symposium dedicated to reimagining the future of online youth work. It will bring together 30 selected participants ready to engage in critical conversations about how digital tools and platforms can be used in ways that are meaningful, ethical, and effective across the youth sector.

Designed as a space for collaborative thinking and exchange, the symposium will explore key areas shaping the future of digital youth work. It aims to spark fresh ideas, deepen professional insight, contribute to practical policy and standards development, and advance a shared vision for inclusive, values-driven, and high-quality digital youth work.

Ready to shape what’s next? The symposium invites you to dive into key focus areas where your voice, insight, and experience will make a difference:

  1. Policy frameworks and strategic direction – Explore how national and European policies can better support digital youth work, and contribute to aligning practice with long-term, sustainable strategies.

  2. Ethical considerations and safeguarding – Strengthen your ability to build safe, inclusive, and rights-based digital spaces by tackling crucial topics like privacy, consent, digital well-being, and boundaries.

  3. Shaping a Standards Book – Collaborate on defining what future-ready standards for digital youth work should look like, grounded in real practice and collective vision.

  4. Crafting impactful policy recommendations – Help shape clear, actionable messages for decision-makers that reflect the realities and needs of youth work today.

  5. Connecting to the wider youth work agenda – Make sure digital youth work is recognized as a core part of youth work values, priorities, and practice, not a side note.
