Safety Net Kick-off meeting

The Safety NET project officially kicked off with its second online Kick-off Meeting on 5 February 2026, bringing together partners from across Europe to begin their collaboration on promoting the safe and ethical use of digital tools in youth work.

During the meeting, representatives from CONNECT International, OBESSU, Cultural Foundation 1948, Zavod Koda Digital, Libero, and MoveIt discussed the project’s goals, responsibilities, and upcoming activities, setting the foundation for strong cooperation throughout the project. The consortium also welcomed the participation of the EACEA Project Officer, who presented key guidelines for the project implementation and reporting process.

Partners reviewed the project work plan, management structure, and first-year activities, including research on policies and practices related to digital youth work and the preparation of the first Transnational Project Meeting. The discussion also covered the development of communication strategies, project management tools, and the creation of the Safety NET digital platform.

Safety NET aims to support youth organisations across Europe in ensuring the safe, ethical, and responsible use of digital tools in their work with young people, contributing to stronger digital youth work practices and greater awareness of digital rights, privacy, and online safety.

This project is co-funded by the European Union.
